Mayfly Nymphs $15.00 per 1/2 dozen

No hatch matching system is complete without the inclusion of an accurate
representation of the nymph. Sight nymphing to individual fish both before
and during a hatch can be as exciting and productive as fishing a dry fly. In
fact, it has become common to find many especially large and seasoned
trout that refuse to take from the surface. Still, they are no less selective
than a surface feeding fish, and no less care should be given to the
selection of an artificial.

CDC Model A Emerger $15.00 per 1/2 dozen
|
Fished in or just beneath the film, this emerging nymphal pattern
targets visibly feeding trout that are not truly rising for flies on the
surface but may appear to be doing so. Especially effective
during a peak of a PMD hatch when fishing can be most difficult.

Perhaps the single most sensible emerging pattern we have ever designed.
Remarkably visible yet deadly for fish that are hunting the most vulnerable
mayflies.

The basic configuration is that of a nymph but the color duplicates the dun.
This CDC version of a much older concept is even more reliable.

After more than twenty five years, Bonnie's short winged emerger continues to
be one of our most popular flies. Dress it with flotant and fish it in the film or
add a small shot to the leader when naturals are emerging beneath the film.
